FAQ’s

HOW DOES IT WORK?

1). You choose which chain(s) you want from the available options.

2). I’ll try it on you with temporary clasp before the chain is cut to make sure the fit is to your liking. Once the chain is cut your piece of jewelry is a final sale.

3). Your piece is welded onto you permanently.

WILL I FEEL IT?

Not even a little bit. Your skin is protected by a leather strap between you and the weld. You won’t feel heat, a zap or a poke. You WILL see a bright flash of light so we make sure you are warned ahead of time to look away.

WILL MY JEWELRY TARNISH OR RUST?

No. They don’t because all products are made from 14-18 Karat Gold or Sterling Silver. Sterling Silver may oxidize after some time, but polish it up just like you would some nice flatware or a beautiful silver gravy boat and it’s good as new!

WHAT IS GOLD FILLED?

Gold filled is a beautiful, more affordable alternative to solid gold as it is a genuine layer of gold permanently bonded onto base metal with heat and pressure that contains 100+ times more gold than gold plated.

It is extremely durable, won't chip or flake, tarnish-resistant, and a great alternative to expensive solid gold jewelry.

It looks great and with proper care, gold-filled jewelry can also be worn by people with sensitive skin since its 100% Hypoallergenic, Lead and nickel free.

WHAT IS THE MAINTENANCE INVOLVED WITH MY PIECE(S)?

The whole premise with permanent jewelry is that they’re maintenance free. But like anything, they can get dirty with skin cells, lotions, self-tanner, sunscreen and more. Just wash thoroughly with warm soapy water - an extra soapy rinse in the shower ought to do it and you’regood to go!

WHAT IF I HAVE TO REMOVE MY JEWELRY?

There aren’t many scenarios where permanent jewelry has to be removed. It won’t affect airport security machine as we use precious metals (just like a wedding ring), and most medical x-rays and surgical procedures do not require it be removed if it’s not in the way of the x-ray or surgical site.

However, on the off-chance that your piece needs removal, simply cut it at the connector link with snips or wire cutters (even scissors are great for thinner chains) and save your chain in a safe place. Bring it back to have it re-welded when you’re ready.

DO YOU DO IN-HOME PARTIES OR JUST STUDIO APPOINTMENTS?

Both. We travel all over Utah, and to some areas of Idaho, Wyoming and Nevada for parties or pop-up shops, but our home location is in Layton, Utah. You can schedule your individual appointment in Layton, or schedule a party with a minimum of 10 friends in Northern Utah, or a 25 friend minimum in Southern Utah or surrounding states.

DO YOU DO POP-UP SHOPS AT LOCAL BUSINESSES?

Yes! This is actually our favorite way to provide permanent jewelry. This can be for special occasions, or we can make arrangements for one of our experts to hold a pop-up in your shop on a recurring basis.

DO YOU EVER GET DIFFERENT CHAINS?

All the time! We love to keep up with latest trends and popular choices. We’ll always have a selection of the same classic chains that we all know and love, but we will also have a revolving selection of the current trends to choose from.

If there’s something you like that you don’t see in our online collection, just send us a photo and link sizing (typically in millimeters) and we can order it in the right material so you’re getting the chain you want, with the quality in material that we promise.

CAN I ADD A CHARM OR CUSTOMIZE MY CHAIN AFTER THE FACT?

Absolutely! One of the things that sets us apart from others is the opportunity for our customers to curate their own custom designs. If this means you want to add to an existing chain later on, you’re welcome to - and we have several charms to choose from. You only need to pay for each charm and a small resize fee to exchange the connection link and reattach your piece. Or add charms at your initial We can’t wait to see what you design and how your designs evolve!

I HAVE PERMANENT JEWELRY FROM SOMEONE ELSE BUT IT’S TARNISHING, WHAT CAN I DO?

Most likely the material they used for their chain is a gold plated material. Depending on their supplier and the material they chose to use, it can be tarnish resistant for a time, but with harsh chemicals or longevity of wear, gold plated chains will discolor, rust or tarnish easily. They’re worn out so you’ll want to replace them with gold filled or solid gold materials that will last for years.

WILL CHLORINE TARNISH MY PIECES?

Gold filled will not, however Sterling Silver could potentially oxidize and change color with excessive chlorine exposure. This is not permanent discoloration, it only needs to be polished and will be good as new again.

WILL MY CHAIN FALL OFF?

Your piece is bonded to create a permanent seal. The bond will not break. However, if you catch your chain on something and pull with enough force, like any bracelet, the thinner the material (or smaller the chain) the easier it is to break. If this happens just bring your chain back in and we’ll reattach it for you!

WHAT IF IVE CHANGED MY MIND ON MY SIZING?

Once a chain is cut, its yours as a final sale. If you later decide that it’s too big and you want to make it smaller, we can remove some links and re-bond. However if you want it bigger, it would require a new chain purchase. In some instances we can add an extension piece.

CAN I ADD A CLASP SO MY PIECE IS REMOVABLE?

You bet. Just let us know this ahead of time so we can determine if scheduling extra time is necessary. Clasps may take a few minutes longer because they are triple the weld time.

WHY ARE YOUR PRODUCTS SO MUCH MORE AFFORDABLE THAN MANY COMPETITORS?

We use the same high quality materials in Sterling Silver, 14-18 karat gold plated, and in some instances solid gold pre-orders. We do what we do because we love it and have a mission to create beautiful, quality pieces that everyone can afford. Truth be told, from personal experience its no fun when you want to splurge a little on yourself and can’t because of over-inflated costs. We have little to no overhead, and don’t need to pay employees as we’re a mom & daughter operation so we pass our savings on to you. We’d much rather you come back to us for your future pieces and tell all your friends because you’re thrilled with your experience, our quality and our prices.
