How do i know who my graphical Upline is?
Talk to the artist with whom you signed up. She will be able to tell you your graphical upline from you to Lanae Davis.
After that, we’re all on the same team. This site is the Team Pretty site, run and led by Lanae (Maskcara Top Ambassador). Her upline is her sister in law, Heather Freeman (Influencer), who’s upline is her own sister, Harmony Beus (Influencer). Harmony is direct to Rachel Jacob (Top Influencer) who is the older sister to our beautiful Founder, Cara (Brook) Killpack (Corporate).
Lanae Davis - Team Pretty
Heather Freeman
Harmony Beus - Team Harminizzle
Rachel Jacob - Team Jacob
Corporate - Cara
Because you fall in a long line of uplines who want you to help you succeed, you are a part of all of the teams: Team Pretty, Team Harminizzle and Team Jacob. When you grow to a team of 2 , 200 or 2,000, you can decide whether you want to lead and train your own team as well!
Prior to becoming an Artist, I hosted a party for my friends and family who ordered from that artist at that time. Now that I’m an artist they want to support and purchase from me. How do they become my customers?
There are two very simple fixes to this issue:
It is, and will always be, up to the customer to decide who they want to purchase from. Their artist is their choice. It is our job as artists to do a good job caring for and serving our customers so that they remain loyal to us and want to purchase from us.
Should a customer want to change which artist her customer account is attached to she has two options:
Because an email address can only be attached to one single account, she can register a separate account using a different email address under another artist
OR
2. She can email ASK to request her account and email under one Artist be cancelled and then use that same email address to register an account under a different artist.
This is a common occurrence when an artist hosts a party as a customer prior to becoming an artist.
Where do I access all of the graphics I see other artists posting?
As an Independent Maskcara Artist, you have the ability to create your own personal graphics using the images and product information made available by Corporate. You can add your name/logo/watermark to these images.
You can also access many of the already pre-designed images many artists have already created and shared for other artist’s use. If an artist has created a graphic with their own watermark on it, please leave this watermark visible and intact.
Grow it.
It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
How do I know which of the many groups to join?
There is no shortage of sources of information as a Maskcara Artist. As a member of Team Pretty, our upline’s team; Team Harminizzle, and Harm’s upline’s team; Team Jacob - you have an insane amount of resources available to you to gather information. Sometimes, though, having so many channels to turn to can feel overwhelming and confusing. We all attain our information direct from Corporate, so contradicting information should never be a problem - but we all relay information differently.
My recommendation would be to start with joining team resources: the Team Pretty Facebook Page, the Team Pretty Marco Polo, and Team Jacob Facebook Page
as well as following corporate resources: Maskcara Artists Telegram and Maskcara Artitst Group Facebook page.
Start there, make yourselves comfortable, and expand as you can handle more information coming at you.
I try to always keep up with new announcements, warehouse reports, webinars, zoom calls and corporate and team updates as much as possible so often times frequent checks aren’t absolutely necessary - but I’m only human and occasionally miss relaying some information.
Just take it slow, do what you can, ask all the questions you’d like, and expand from there!
Do I need to start my own team page once I become a leader?
This is completely up to you. It is always a good idea to lead by example. Be the leader you wish you had! But not everybody operates best with active leadership. Some lone wolves prefer to figure things out on their own, test their own waters and see what works best for them.
Regardless of theirs, or your style of learning and leadership - creating a team page, or other form of communication is not 100% required of you. What IS your responsibility though is to make yourself available for questions and/or guidance in whatever means works best for you and your downline. This could mean a messenger group thread, a facebook page, a Marco Polo group, or otherwise.

I’m nervous about color matching. How do I know I’m choosing the right colors for my customers?
No trainings, tutorials or classes will ever teach you as much as hands-on experience. Practice. Practice. Practice. Experience is, and will always be, your greatest teacher.
Having said that though, we have many incredible experienced leaders on our team qualified to train you on how to learn to color match customers long-distance, or in-person with ease.
You can find online color match trainings, and more here on the Trainings page.
My customers are seeing texture with their IIID application. How can i help?
They may have the wrong color highlight. Most times when you see texture, you most likely have a shade that is too light.
Their skin might need some good exfoliation. Buildup and dead skin cells need to be sloughed off regularly to ensure skin is smooth. Make sure they exfoliate at least once a week. Our Milk Maaque is an incredible enzyme masque that exfoliates without damaging Akin’s protective layers
Her skin could be dehydrated. Make sure she moisturizes her skin daily so that it’s happy and healthy!
Everyone’s skin has peach fuzz….everyone’s! Applying makeup to an already textured surface will only compound the issue - no matter what type of cosmetics she’s using. Using a razor regularly will help smooth skin and will allow makeup to apply a lot easier. It’s a simple step to have smoother skin!
My customer says her makeup looks orange on her?
Typically when makeup appears to have an orange tint, it’s too dark of a color - and is not very flattering. Suggest she send in a correct photo for an online color match so you can match her to perfection. As our skintones change with the seasons of the year - so should our makeup shades.
Makeup is sliding
If your customer is experiencing her makeup sliding off her face, it very likely could because of a very common reason….
Typically this happens when she has moisturized under her makeup but hasn’t allowed it to fully absorb into the skin yet. If you moisturize in the morning before applying makeup, we have to make sure to give several minutes time for the moisturizer to absorb deep into skin. If makeup is applied immediately after moisturizing, it becomes too slippery - creams on creams will slide.
Be patient. Do you eye makeup or your hair, eat breakfast, Bruah yoir teeth, give it a good 20 minutes at least while you’re waiting for it to be nice and hydrated.
Having said that - ideally a costumer is using our Tres Leches system along with their IIID cream foundation. If this is the case, Milk Moisturizer was created as a night time cream only. It is too heavy a formula for most skin types - even dry skin - to be used as a daytime moisturizer. If you can persuade your customers to use each product exactly as directed, daytime moisturizing, except in extreme cases is no longer necessary, since the skin is getting exactly what it needs for 24 hours hours from the nighttime Milk Moisturizer use.
